From gymnastics at age four to swimming, soccer, volleyball, softball, and competitive squash in school, fitness has always been a key part of my life. The weight room and cardio workouts in Grade 8 sparked a love for fitness training in me. My goal with exercise has always been to maintain a healthy lifestyle, so I enjoy biking, hiking, walking, and rollerblading to compliment my strength training routine.
My quest to help people overcome and prevent injuries became my new focus after I sustained multiple injuries. I believe exercise helps me manage pain, prevent diseases, and keep my bones strong. Despite setbacks, I am a testament to the belief that you can achieve success in life through great struggle, and so my journey began. It is my belief that hard work and perseverance are the keys to achieving any goal one desire. Although I started from a place of physical disability, I was able to adapt and rebuild myself to a point where I could live a 'normal' life again. We can always improve our physical health no matter when we start!
Having faced addictions and food allergies in my life, it is extremely important for me to find the right balance of fruits and vegetables in every meal. In order to minimize digestive problems and heightened inflammation in my joints, I have to follow a gluten-free, dairy-free diet. As a result of my multiple injuries in the motor vehicle accident, any emotional or physical stress results in inflammation. For my optimal health, exercise and nutrition go hand-in-hand.
I help people struggling with physical challenges as well as emotional, dietary, and nutritional challenges in order to achieve optimal balance in their lives.
